Our Board

Max has a Bachelor of Commerce from UQ and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

He was a senior manager at Touche Ross & Co (now KPMG) and then Finance Director of the Seven Network in Queensland. He was subsequently a CEO for 21 years, 18 years with Seven in Adelaide and Brisbane, and 3 years with Queensland Cricket.

Max was awarded an OAM for his service to the media, cricket and the community and has spent a total of 40 years on charitable and not for profit Boards.

Stephen has more than 35 years’ service with the Queensland Police Service, including over 25 years as an investigator across child protection, sexual violence, homicide, organised crime, and cyber crime.

He currently serves as Detective Inspector overseeing the Child Trauma Unit, Sexual Crime Unit, and Child Death Review Unit within the Child Abuse and Sexual Crime Group.

Stephen was the Investigations Leader in the murder investigation of Daniel Morcombe and has contributed to significant reforms in investigative interviewing and responses to child harm and sexual violence. He represents Queensland on a number of national law enforcement and child protection forums and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and victims.

Amanda is the Assistant Director-General, Supreme, District and Land Courts, Service Courts and Tribunals Department of Justice. She holds qualifications in law and in justice administration and was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2003.

Commencing her career with the Department of Justice over 30 years ago, Amanda has extensive experience in courts management, justice administration and in legal practice and procedure.

Amanda has held a variety of positions with Court Services Queensland and with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Brisbane and in regional Queensland.

Catherine Lee is a Chartered Occupational Health and Safety Professional, management consultant, professional coach, and experienced Board member. Through her company, Lethbridge Piper and Associates, she partners with executive and leadership teams to improve workplace safety, wellbeing, culture, and risk management.

With more than 30 years’ experience across occupational health, safety, injury prevention, and organisational systems, Catherine brings strong governance, risk, consultation, and wellbeing expertise to the PACT Board. She is passionate about creating safer, more inclusive environments where people are supported, heard, and protected.

Catherine values her role on the PACT Board as an opportunity to contribute her professional experience to an organisation committed to protecting and supporting children, young people, and families.

Stephen holds extensive experience in Executive, Information, Technology, Risk and Organisation management. He is certified in Project Management and has over 40 years of achievements in the IT industry specialising in Project Management and Business Process reengineering.

Joining our board in 2024, Stephen brings wide-ranging knowledge, professional experience and involvement in community groups as a non-executive director.

Lauren Stanton is a values-led and purpose-driven leader with experience in talent strategy, project management, executive recruitment and talent sourcing, leadership development, succession planning and organisational coaching.

With more than 15 years experience across HR, marketing and communications, Lauren’s purpose is ‘to help others rise so that together we can achieve more’. Lauren is the Oceania Talent Leader at Ernst & Young (EY).

David Nardone is a career prosecutor. He is employed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as a Consultant Crown Prosecutor.

He has over 30 years of post-admission experience acting as counsel for the State of Queensland in the superior courts, including at an appellant level.

Throughout his career, David has prosecuted hundreds of trials involving child witnesses who have been assisted by PACT volunteers. From 2005 to 2009 David was a member of the Board of PACT and was subsequently awarded life membership.
